1. Getting Started
Create your account
Register at /register. Verify your email - unverified accounts cannot complete purchases or receive payouts.
Connect Stripe
Go to Payouts β Connect Stripe. This takes 5 minutes. Without a connected Stripe account, you will not receive any payout from sales. Buyers can still purchase, but your share is held until you connect (max 30 days, then forfeited per the Seller Agreement).
Create your first listing
Go to Sell β Create Listing. Fill in the title, description, price, category, and tags. Upload your product ZIP. Set your license type. Publish.
2. Creating a Listing
A good listing has five parts:
- Title, clear, specific, searchable. "Polymarket Trading Bot. Kelly Sizing + Whale Detection" beats "Trading Bot v2".
- Description, what it does, what problem it solves, what's included. Minimum 100 words. The first 160 characters show as the preview in search results.
- Screenshot / Hero Image, first thing buyers see. A terminal screenshot, a dashboard screenshot, or a clean diagram. Size: 1200Γ630px recommended (matches social sharing previews).
- Tags, up to 5. Use terms buyers would search: "automation", "polymarket", "discord", "fastapi", "langchain".
- Product ZIP, the actual deliverable. Must be a real, working file. Include a README.md at the root.
π‘ Tip: Upload a hero image. Listings with images convert at 3β4x the rate of text-only listings. It also shows as a preview when someone shares your link on Reddit, Twitter, or iMessage.
3. Licensing Options
For Single, Team, and Unlimited license types: Agent Outpost automatically issues an AGOP license key to the buyer on purchase. The key is delivered via email and available in their dashboard. Your product ZIP should include license_check.py (see SDK section below) so buyers activate on first run.
For No DRM: nothing to integrate. Buyer downloads the file. No key, no activation. Appropriate for non-code products.
β οΈ Important: If you choose Single License, buyers who try to run your product on a second machine will get an activation error. Set expectations clearly in your README.
4. SDK Integration (License Check)
For code products with AGOP license enforcement, add license_check.py to your project. This file is downloadable from your seller dashboard after listing creation.
Step 1. Add the file
Download license_check.py from your Seller Dashboard β your listing β Download SDK. Place it in the root of your project directory.
Step 2. Call it at startup
Add this to the top of your main entry point (e.g. main.py, bot.py, agent.py):
from license_check import verify_license
# Replace with your actual listing ID from the dashboard
verify_license("your-listing-id-here")
That's it. Three lines. The rest is handled automatically:
- First run: Buyer is prompted to enter their AGOP key and email address. Key is validated against the server and a machine-bound encrypted token is saved locally.
- Every subsequent run: Token is decrypted and validated silently in <200ms. No prompt, no friction.
- Offline mode: License check has a 72-hour grace window for intermittent internet. After 72 hours offline, re-validation is required.
- Invalid/expired key: Clean error message with a link to support. No crash, no stack trace.
Step 3. Include the file in your ZIP
Make sure license_check.py is in the ZIP you upload. It won't be there automatically, you need to add it to your project before zipping.
Step 4. Tell buyers what to expect in your README
Add this block to your README:
## License Activation
This product uses Agent Outpost license enforcement.
On first run, you will be prompted for:
- Your AGOP license key (from your purchase confirmation email or dashboard)
- Your email address
The key will be activated and saved. No re-entry needed on subsequent runs.
Lost your key? Retrieve it at https://agentoutpost.ai/dashboard
π‘ Need help with the SDK? Email [email protected] with your listing ID and we'll help you integrate.
5. What Buyers Experience
Here's the full buyer flow from "click Buy" to running your product:
- Buyer clicks Buy on your listing β Stripe Checkout opens.
- Buyer completes payment β Stripe confirms β Agent Outpost issues AGOP license key instantly.
- Buyer receives: (a) purchase confirmation email with their key, (b) key visible in their dashboard at all times.
- Buyer downloads your ZIP from the dashboard.
- Buyer runs your product β sees license activation prompt (first time only).
- Buyer enters key + email β activated β running.
If a buyer loses their key: they can click "π§ Email Key" in their dashboard to resend it to themselves at any time. They can also copy it directly from the dashboard. You do not need to handle key recovery.
6. Payouts & Revenue Split
π° Revenue Split
80% to you. 20% to Agent Outpost.
Example: $49 sale β Stripe fee ~$1.72 β Net $47.28 β You get $37.82 β Agent Outpost gets $9.46.
- Stripe Connect handles all payouts. Connect your account at Payouts.
- Payout timing: set by your Stripe payout schedule. Typically 2β7 business days after sale.
- You can see all your sales, revenue, and payout status in your Seller Dashboard.
- Tax: you are responsible for reporting your income. Agent Outpost will issue a 1099-K if applicable based on Stripe's thresholds.
β οΈ Connect Stripe before you list. If a sale happens and you have no connected account, payouts are held for 30 days and then forfeited per the Seller Agreement.
7. Refunds & Disputes
- 24-hour window: Buyers can request a refund within 24 hours of purchase for any reason. These are automatically approved.
- After 24 hours: Buyers must open a dispute. You will be notified by email. You have 72 hours to respond.
- Resolution: Agent Outpost reviews the dispute and makes a final decision. If the product was non-functional or materially misrepresented, a refund is issued from your account.
- Chargebacks: Handled by Stripe. If Stripe rules against you, the chargeback amount + fee is deducted from your balance.
To minimize disputes: write honest descriptions, include working READMEs, and respond promptly to buyer questions via the Messages system.
8. Tips for Good Listings
- πΌοΈ Upload a hero image. Even a clean terminal screenshot beats nothing. 1200Γ630px.
- π Write a real description. What does it do? What problem does it solve? What does the buyer get? 200+ words.
- π² Price for value, not effort. $29β$99 is the sweet spot for most agents. Under $15 signals low quality. Over $199 needs serious justification.
- π·οΈ Use all 5 tags. Tags drive search traffic.
- π¦ Include a README. Every product ZIP should have one. Buyers who can't figure out your product open disputes.
- π Keep it updated. APIs change. Buyers remember sellers who maintain their products.
- π¬ Answer buyer questions fast. The Q&A on your listing page is public. Good answers = more sales.

Tell them to check their email or retrieve the key from their dashboard. If the key shows "invalid", contact [email protected] with their order ID.
